Exploratory Painting Workshop Coming
The Vicksburg Art Association will offer a hands-on exploratory painting workshop February 9th and 10th from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the Firehouse Gallery.
Class will break for lunch and participants are encouraged to bring their own sack lunch and drinks.
The instructor, M. Douglas Walton, graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BA degree in Architecture and received the silver metal for general excellence in architecture. He teaches water media encounters classes through continuing education at Louisiana Tech in Ruston, LA and journey encounters around the world.
Various ways will be demonstrated and taught to solve problems, explore and expand ones creative process to do work that is original and imaginative. The workshop will expose one to the beauty of creativity through lecture, demonstrations, critiques and individual instruction.
The classes are open to the public and painting experience is not required. Class fees are $70.00 for members of the Vicksburg Art Association and $75.00 for non-members.
