An acrylic painting entitled Poppies by Ruth Reese of Crystal Springs, Mississippi was awarded Best in Show at the Vicksburg Art Association's twenty-second
Annual Mississippi Exhibition which opened October 26 at 8 PM at the Firehouse Gallery. A $500 prize comes with the award.

Approximately 160 pieces are in the show which was judged by Deanna Douglas currently assistant professor of art at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Ribbons were awarded to 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, and Honorable Mentions in each category according to the discretion of the judge. Click here for a complete list of winners.
