Nov. Meeting At Hobbs Freeman Home
The Vicksburg Art Association held the regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 12th at 7:30 pm, and featured the home and works of Hobbs Freeman. The meeting was held at his home in Campbell Swamp.
He is a graduate of the Memphis College of Art and later was an instructor at the college. He has studied in Italy and also at Penland in North Carolina. His works in enameling and his copper sculptures are regionally recognized. He recently completed the construction of Jordan Methodist Episcopal Chapel nearby his home. The Art Association was given a tour of the chapel by Gordon Cotton.
